Flashdancers

In New York City for work and thought I would check out a few clubs. Visited this club twice, on a Wednesday night from about 9 pm – midnight and a Tuesday night from 8 pm – 11 pm. The place is nice but expensive, $20 cover after 8 pm and my import beer was $12. Bought a drink for a dancer, glass of wine was $18. They club is located below street level, the stairs down to the club are a bit steep and even harder to walk up after a few cocktails. I saw three big bouncers having to help one drunk guy out of the club one night. The stairs were so steep it appeared to be a challenge for them. Place is clean, they do have a bathroom attendant. Walk in and right in front of you is the bar and about three floor men and a bunch of waitresses. If you want a seat the floor guy will grab a waitress and she will escort you to a table. There are seats at the bar but limited and because of close quarters some are difficult to get to. The have one main stage and a couple of small stages behind the bar. ON both nights when I got there, they had 2 dancers at each end of the bar (not sure how you would even tip the girl as she is actually behind the bar) and on the main stage they had about 4 dancers at a time. (3 songs sets). As for the dancers, a little bit of everything and lots of dancers. Hard for me to believe someone could not find someone to their liking. Not a lot of pressure, but a lot of interaction between dancers in customers. They are not shy about asking you for a dance. The one thing that stood out to me was while I got a lot of wanna dance it was always done in a classy way. Like are you getting dances tonight or a little small talk and they are you interested in a dance. While I was asked a lot never got any attitude when I politely declined. I got dances from various girls and all gave a high quality lap dance, free to touch above the waist. Another thing I though was interesting was some of the dancers, after I said I wanted a dance, would ask so we are going to do 3 for $60 or 5 for $100. I thought it was an Interesting way of doing it. I was only offered to go to VIP once, I guess they have three levels: Champagne, Blue and Sapphire I think and the prices for 30 minutes were like $600, $1000 and $2000. Hinted at fun but those prices were a little steep to take the plunge. All in all a good time at this club and would visit again.
