Friendly lodge

I recently spent a night in New Mexico's biggest "city" while in the course of an automobile roadtrip. This appears to be the flagship club of ownership of most joints in town and made my there after midnight on Friday finding the place quite full as might be expected. Right off the freeway, it's kind of a rambling affair in a Tudor appearing building looking more a lodge than the usual squat stripper bar. I suspect it was formerly an upscale restaurant. As I pulled into the lot, I noted the marquee touted "Lacey Rain" as the apparent feature dancer. I had never heard of her and figured she was a touring porn actress.

One odd thing was that upon paying my cover at the front desk, the cashier actually sold me my first beer from a refrigerator behind her as if an unofficial "minimum" drink requirement.

I got the impression most of the patrons were regulars and the place had a very friendly relaxed atmosphere. The website referred to it as an "elegant, upscale" venue which I think is a bit of a stretch. Comfortably "broken in" would be more accurate. But again, very friendly and relaxed with a variety of nooks and crannies to hang out and just observe if so inclined with a main stage the center of action in the middle of a rather large and, again, rambling physical plant with side rooms and a couple of not-very-private VIP dance areas.
