coming home

So I was coming home from a visit in western K and coming home to what was once my go-to club. 15-20 years ago, I was a regular here when it was known for $5 laps with, alas, no contact and nearly 30 beautiful dancers per night. The club entered into a steady decline about 15 years ago and I discovered the much more relaxed Lawrence scene. Ignoring T Wolfe's advice, I decided to give BD's a what the hell visit. I haven't been in all Kansas strip clubs but will say BD's is straight up the most gentlemen's club aspiring strip joint in Kansas. Yeah, that means a $5 cover, but it's better appointed and cleaner than the competition. The restrooms don't scare you.

I got there early in the evening or late in the afternoon, depending on your POV. Probably at most a dozen customers at the bar or at tables and a handful of girls working whilst others arrived (call me weird, but I like the shift change time and eyeing the talent as it arrives in street clothing). I sat at the bar and get a $5 bottle of water.

None of the working girls approached me, hanging as they were with blue and white collar regulars making post-workday visits. Once the evening shift starts making its stage rotation, I move up to a table. Soon, a busty mixed gal asked if she could join me. We talk over the drink I purchased for her, during which she gives me the lowdown. $10 dances on the floor, no hands on boobies, butt. $20 VIP more liberal touching. I opt for the floor with this gal, because I'm planning another stop in Lawrence where money goes further. She's a daytime real estate gal. Works the club for extra cash, or so she says. Nicely tanned. She gives a good grind, despite more rejecting VIP, but nothing untoward.

It was, in other words, an old school strip club experience. If that's what you're looking for, BD provides a nice, clean environment for your enjoyment. If you're looking for something a bit more raw, head east 25 miles.
