Returned to the Blue . . .
Returned to the Blue after an absence of several months. The first change is that they’ve finally finished what had appeared to be endless renovation. White walls now, simplified lighting, and perhaps fewer obstacles like stand-up tables in the main traffic areas. The men’s room finally has all the fixtures working, but no stalls on the doors, should you need to sit. It was actually clean, which is an EB first. The walls are done in something that looks like metal armor plating. No mirrors, which is a pain after your clothes and hair have been rearranged in the LD room. A baby changing station. In a strip club men’s room. Who on earth brings their kid . . . ?
Anyway, the talent was up to EB’s usual Saturday night quality – lots of beauty, much of it South American, perhaps an overemphasis on anti-petite. Very affectionate interaction with paying customers, although I got a bit of a sense that slightly less affection was readily available in the LD area than a few months back. And no one gave me the legendary EB handshake out in the club – whether that’s new policy, or just my luck on this particular night, I don’t know. (Lucy, who could inflict pain with her greeting, was not present on the night in question.) And LD’s with the right dancer include some pretty specific marketing for the CR, which continues not to disappoint.
