Not bad for the price

What is a trip to Vegas without going to a strip joint? We only stayed two hours or so, during a slow time, so my experience may vary if you go at a busy time.

After some really bad luck at the casinos, I had a bit less money to go than I’d like. I’ve been to the expensive clubs and I’ve been to Cheetah’s during the day (Two lap dances for $20) but this time on the cheap-side I decided to check out Talk of the Town. I’d read their lap dances were $10 and read in two different places that it would be $15 or $20 each to get in. Mistake one – I looked at a map. I thought, it’s only 3 blocks from the Stratosphere, we will walk. It was a bit too far to walk in 107 degree heat. Olympic Garden that we passed on the way actually seemed doable walking (I’ve never been). Maybe mistake two – We got there around 4:30pm and they had opened at 4pm. They were just getting ready and we were the first customers. They seemed surprised that a couple showed. I can’t imagine it is that rare. We only had to pay $10 each and that included a $2 water/coke. I don’t know if it was $10 because we were there at 4:30pm or if we didn’t arrive in a cab or for some other reason but it was less than I’d read elsewhere. As written elsewhere, it is a small room. I can’t imagine it crowded. 4 dancers total at 4:30pm (a 5th came in as we were leaving). All were pretty good looking and they all got totally naked. We weren’t hassled for lap dances, could be because of the time and we were a couple. My wife picked one out, I tipped her on stage and asked her to come talk to us about lap dances. That’s when I heard the bad news. The $10 lap dances were “non-touching” (I’m sure your mileage would vary but we didn’t see anyone get lap dances during our time there, so I don’t know). We got talked into 3 dances for $100 in a private room. It was pretty dark, somewhat private and very, hands on. It was worth the money but I was annoyed that I got the bait and switch on the $10 lap dances. Overall I was happy with the experience but it could have been better.
