Gold Nugget

In Panama City for a week of business and checked out several of the strip clubs. The Gold Nugget is by far the best. It’s in a well lit commercial area right on the main highway between Panama City and Panama City Beach. Parking is free. Cover charge is $10, which is waived for military. The club is more blue collar than upscale, but on the higher end of blue collar. It’s definitely not a dive bar. There are two stages: the main stage to the right as you enter, another to the left the runs along the bar against the left wall. Beers cost $3.75, which is a pretty good price for a strip club. The crowd is mostly white, with a few blacks. A group of Asians trying to act black came in while I was there. The dancer demographics match the customer base, mostly white, a few blacks, and a couple of Asians. Generally speaking, the dancers are quite good looking. Most are in the 7-8 range, a few below average, and a few are really stunningly good looking. Some stuck to themselves or hung out with regulars, others circulated and were pretty chatty. This is topless only club, so the bottoms don’t come off either out front or in the back. The girls quoted $25 or $30 for private dances, but were willing to negotiate for multiple dances. There is also a $10 charge to the house each time you enter the VIP area, which is a row of booths in the back. Everyone once in while, there is a dancer review with 2 for 1 dances, which includes a ticket for a free drink. The door to each booth has a beaded curtain that provides no privacy at all. You can see clearly inside each booth despite the curtain. I got dances from three different girls. Contact was pretty good with all of them, and they all allowed pretty extensive groping. However, groping of tits is apparently not officially allowed. The girls didn’t have a problem with it, and even encouraged it, but during one of my sessions, the bouncer was walking up and down looking into the row of booths. Twice he gave the girl a signal and she pushed my hands away from her boobs, but as soon as he was gone, she put my hands back. Groping and grinding was as far as it went while I was there. I have seen reviews indicating more is available, but there is no real privacy in the private dance area and there was too much monitoring by the bouncer while I was there. Nevertheless, the dances were good and I had a good time. This is a solid, enjoyable club. I also visited the Toy Store and Tan Fannies, both of which are true dive bars, Tan Fannies in particular. If I have time, I’ll review them also. I also drove by Bambi’s Dollhouse, but the neighborhood looked so bad I decided not to go in.
