A quiet Sunday night in KCMO

I made a stopover in Kansas City on my way to St. Louis for a Giants/Cards series to take in a Sunday Nite baseball game between the Calif./L.A. Angels and the Royals. Later I tried to replicate some good SC memories from a weekend visit about 8 years earlier. Sunday in KCMO is mighty quiet.

Upon entering Bazookas shortly after midnight, I was advised they were already closing up and not accepting new admissions!

I went onto the nearby Temptations which also did not appear too promising from the amount of street parking. I had had a very good time there last visit and especially enjoyed my forays over to the delightfully friendly and kooky adjoining Cigar Box for drink breaks (Temptations is non-alcoholic) punctuated by the hilariously "sleazy" piano bar singer. Unfortunately, the Cigar Box is closed on Sundays as there is apparently some goofy Missouri law requiring a supplemental license to serve booze on the Sabbath.
