Scores Presents The Trophy Club
Ok...I'm still trying to figure out the name change, but apparently the Trophy Club is buying into the Scores (NYC) chain of clubs/franchise to try and present a more upscale image. I've always thought of Trophy as being more of a "working man's" club compared to PP and Lust and that's not necessarily a bad thing. The dancers are normally pretty friendly here and the bar/waitress staff does a good job for the most part. Hopefully the name change doesn't bring higher prices and other BS that you encounter in the more "upscale" clubs. I don't need to pay upwards to $10 for a shot of Jack or several dollars to a guy for handing me a paper towel in the bathroom...I can get my own thank you :).
This review covers the Wednesday before their grand re-opening on this past Friday. Wednesday night wasn't too crowded, but when I drove by on the following Friday night there was not a parking place open in the lots around their building and patrons were parking on a dirt lot above their upper parking lot. I have seen some busy nights in the club before, but never recall it being like that. I guess the combination of free liquor, food, and a feature dancer (Katie Morgan) brought in the big crowd for the grand re-open. Since the only place to park was an unguarded & unlit parking area, I decided to keep on driving and visit Lust.
My Wednesday visit was ok---drinks prices were decent...I think they had something like a $3 crown-n-down going on or something similar. I'll be back to visit when things settle back to normal to see how the new remodel affects the fun factor of the place.
