Afternoon visit to DV8

I stopped by DV8 for an afternoon visit and I was pleasantly surprised with the number and attractiveness of the dancers. Others have described the physical layout of the club--- kind of a small neighborhood bar with a central dance stage and a semi-private area for lap dances that is separated from the main club by some sheer curtains. The dancers do two or three song sets on stage, getting nude by the final song. Some of the dancers interact with the patrons at the tip rail and some of the regulars seem to get a pretty good show at the tip rail. One of the dancers was notable in that she was tattooless, a rarity for Portland where tattoos appear to be the norm for women. I took her for several dances and it was pretty good two way interaction. I inquired about extras and she told me a story of a dancer who was recently fired for going too far with a customer. Evidently cameras are on and monitored in the private dance area. Overall, DV8 was a nice neighborhood bar with a decent stage show, attractive dancers and OK private dances. For a city with an abundance of strip club and a fantastic supply of young women, I was a bit surprised by how conservative the private dances were. Nevertheless, if you're looking for a friendly neighborhood bar to enjoy a beer and some attractive women, this is a good choice.
