Pretty basic venue, but my experience was also strangely pleasant.
King's Cabaret was one of the first clubs I visited back when I was a foolish newbie. In retrospect it wasn't my worst experience to date, but I still feel a bit confused whenever I reflect on my time there. It's a rather small club with a basic DJ setup, simple bar, and even simpler stage. I could tell much of the crowd was local, but didn't feel excluded at all, which made my stay all the more pleasant. The handful of dancers there, all 5's to 7's on the proverbial scale, seemed quite friendly. Unlike other places I've been to in the North East, the infamous dollar parade was nowhere to be found here. Perhaps I arrived after the locals staked their usual claims, but I spent quite a bit of time kicking back and enjoying a couple of beers before the first dancer even sat next to me. It was pretty nice. A black girl in her mid 20's with a cute face and a slim figure sat next to me. Because this happened years ago, I sadly don't remember her name. We talked for about 30 minutes before the topic of dances even came up, and even then she didn't seem pushy at all. Being a total novice, I thought "what the hell, let's go to the VIP; because go big or go home, right?" Oh how much I've learned...
This is the part I still kick myself over 'cause I should've conducted further recon. I'd been spoiled once or twice by some high mileage places back home, so when I saw that the "VIP" area was nothing more than a few shabby looking booths in the wall with very little hiding space, so I didn't expect much in the way of mileage. Fortunately this girl's dancing skills were stellar compared to those I'd experience in later ventures, so I enjoyed my three dances at the customary $20 per dance, called it a night early, and headed home. As for extras, there was a guy a couple "booths" away with some red-headed white girl. My dancer pointed out to me that she was always the one to get away with being nasty in the corner, so I don't doubt extras are possible if you try, the conditions just aren't ideal and may not be worth the effort.
As I said before, I look back on my experience at King's with odd reflective feelings. The club was small, but had a surprisingly warm "come as you are" feel about it and not once did I feel rushed by anybody, dancer or waitress. I guess I arrived at that magic hour when everyone was just looking to cool their heels and unwind a bit. YMMV, but if you're looking for something off the beaten path in Dallas, give it a shot.
