After a discouraging visit to a "club" near LAX and a lengthy drive toward Orange County area, I happened to stumble by the Ecstasy. My rental car just seemed to turn itself toward this club knowing what I needed.

Unfortunately for me, it was quite late and the selection was quite restrictive. The club looked fairly upscale and attractive enough inside and out. I was a little annoyed at their collecting an entry fee given the late hour and how little time I was going to have to play therein. I had fairly low expectations as I had done no advance research. The dancers I saw were attractive enough, but not overly enthusiastic about just hanging out. Looks 7, attitude 5. The stage performances, while they were decent to look at, were kind of uninspiring. Given the hour, I guess I should have expected that. They place was pretty dead, too.

Finally, I had a nice convo with a dancer that explained that dances do not occur in open tableside, but are "bed dances." Based on the price (I think she said $50) for starters, I decided to cut my losses and head to my hotel for another date with rosie. Did not ask for nor was I offered takeout.
