Disappointing Visit

My past experiences at the Rhino have left me with the feeling that, like pizza and sex, even when it's bad, it is still pretty good. I wish I could say that that was still the case but I have to say my last visit was disappointing. Now I've probably visited this club most every day of the week from mid-afternoon to late in the evening and there has always been someone there that I really connected with. Not this time. Did the usual routine of calling the club and asking for a ride. As always, no problem. Quick turnaround and enjoyed chatting with limo guy. After he walked me in, I tipped my usual $20 and looked for a good place to sit down. Of course, there were a couple of dancers who immediately pounced on me and tried the big hustle. I wasn't having it and they took my rejection well and left. Wait service was good. Cute and friendly and pretty good at coming around when you needed them. They still have "happy hour" in the late afternoon and I think beers were $5. Surprisingly, even though the club was pretty empty, they were rotating girls on stage. That was also cool. But, over the next couple of hours, I saw and/or met more than a dozen dancers and, with maybe one or two exceptions, I wouldn't have wanted to get with them if they were giving it away. They seemed like the kind of strippers you would find at some crappy club in the midwest on a Tuesday afternoon, not in what is supposed to be one of the best clubs in the country. A couple came in shortly after I arrived and sat near me. The girl was by far the hottest one I saw all afternoon. Wish I could have taken her to the VIP for a half an hour. Now, most of the girls at least made a "courtesy stop" and most were nice enough but no one moved me. At one point, a dancer came by, asked me why I was still sitting alone and commented that I must not have "fallen in love" yet and she was spot on. I do need to fall in "stripper love" and nobody there was going to make that happen. Grabbed a cab and left shortly thereafter. I'm sure the quality and quantity of ladies is still very good during busier times so I wouldn't want to dissuade anyone from checking the place out but, it seems like the afternoon/early evening shift here is no longer very good.
