Physically nice, otherwise just OK

Having been to the old Club Eden on several occasions, this was my first visit to Cabaret Nola. First and second impression of the physical renovation were positive. Added a nice entryway, reworked the stage with nice lighting and good layout, even fixed up the restroom. Bar area is redecorated but largely the same. Still overall its pretty nice. On the night I was there it was pretty slow even though Saturday night. Only 4 dancers were there when I arrived about 9PM -- and not that great a group -- maybe 5 to 7s. The bartender on the other hand was unbelievable -- too bad she wasn't dancing! I had just gotten settled in, good service and received my drink when the dancer on stage starts cursing out the crowd for not tipping. She was very loud and rude about it too. I had literally just gotten my drink and some small bill change and was about to head up to drop a few on the stage -- but lets just say that attitude isn't what I would call very attractive. When she came off stage she went over to the other dancers and continued to rant loudly including several curse words at a volume where pretty much ALL the customers could hear. Management didn't do or say anything. Needless to say my opening impressions were not positive for how things would go.

That however was the low point of the evening. The crowd picked up, people started tipping, more girls arrived, etc... None of the new arrived dancers were 10s, but they ended up with a nice mix including several body types and ethnicities. Not the best collection ever, but reasonable for a place like this. A couple of the girls came over and had nice conversations. Service was good the whole night, drinks cold and prompt, etc... Prices typical for this kind of place -- $6 beers etc... Dances were $30 and they did do a 2 for 1 every now and then which some people took advantage of. Dances are held in a semiprivate area to the side and are OK but not that much mileage. Overall not a bad experience and I will keep it my list of places to go back to -- a lot less hassle and cost then going down to Bourbon St and a much more convenient and safe location than Visions (which is a better club).
