To be young and undescerning
This club is quite a ways out from downtown Portland. The parking fills up quick on the weekends and you will have to make a short trek uphill to find the entrance. Plenty have been written about the popularity (lines and lack of seating), vegan pamphlets, and the layout of td are he club so I'll not go in depth on those matters. I will say that the longhouse layout of Casa Diablo gives it character while providing horrendous acoustics. Upon entering, you might think that this venue was once a masonic temple or elk's lodge. Given the large and tall/open nature of the main room, all the music and cheering bleeds together making it impossible to hear what your girl is trying to sell you.
The dancers are still mostly young and fairly cute as far as Portland clubs go. Most clubs in Portlandive bars that happen to have a pole being worked by a 30~40 something tatted up suicide girl. Nothing against that, but Casa Diablo features more traditional looking dancers. The stage shows are risque and playful. Lots of toys and interactive performances are to be seen. Nothing wild like Detroit, DFW, or TJ's, but nothing like it in the northwest. Especially not featuring cute young talent.
Nothing much to be found in the private dance area though. After catching the stage show, you would have thought that these ladies would be real freaks with the private performances. It might be the management's choice or the local law enforcement's cultural influence, but no naughty play was to be found here. For that you would have to visit one of Portlands other fine establishments like Spyce.
