The Pirates Cove
I visited here looking for Monroe, who I had a great conversation with and a great dance from when I saw her at the Riverside Corral. Unfortunately, she wasn't there. I'm not going to say much about the physical layout. It's all been covered before - small, cramped, one stage, bathrooms are disgusting, etc. Also, the lap dance area isn't private. Except for a black sheer curtain between the couch and the stage, the bartender can see in. So, I don't see an opportunity for much mileage in the place because most everyone can see you.
But, the girls are some of the friendliest I've talked to in Portland. The ladies are mainly in their 20s, inked or pierced. Not exactly my physical type, but they at least smile, greet you and try to talk to you. I was asked if I wanted a dance ($20). I never felt hustled or pressured.
This is a place where you can grab a drink and hang out. On this day, Flayre was the best looking dancer and seemed really personable. If you want high mileage dances, this isn't the place. If you want some decent, somewhat intelligent conversation with the dancers, this is your place.
