Rick's has a great reputation. If my last visit is any indicator, the quality has not stopped at this club. The VIP area is nice and private, but I don't think it's much better than the general floor area. Went to the club last Tuesday afternoon and the afternoon's seem to provide better consistancy for dance mileage over the night shift. However in my experience the night shift is nothing to sneeze at either. A night visit is still better than most clubs around. I had dances with two different girls Tuesday afternoon and both provided a great all around experience. No drink hassle, and no huge crowds in the afternoon crowd.
