Best burlesque spot in portland - ok as a strip club, avoid for lapdances
Visited the Kit Kat club on a short visit to Portland - it is right in the middle of the "gritty tourist-trap" zone of Portland downtown - hidden within a black door surrounded by "world famous" restaurants, oyster bars and donut places (admittedly Voodoo donut *is* famous enough).
Club has an interesting vibe - compared with clubs from the same owners: classier decor, excellent cocktails and a premium on showmanship. Girls are very attractive (8-10s) ridiculously acrobatic and there is liberal use of props (costumes, smoke, quirkier stuff) - all with a sense of mischief and humor. As a nightclub, if you and your SO / friends are looking for a great show on the spicy side while having a great drink (and chicken pot pie) it is highly recommended.
However if you are looking for an actual strip club - you may be a bit dissapointed. Dancers are vrt beautiful, but they do not socialize with customers betwee dances, and the shows do include nude dances but they're on the 'hot-burlesque/mild-strip-club' side of the spectrum. Not that it is a bad thing, but you'll find more daring shows a couple blocks away on any direction (Rouge, GD or even Mary's).
