I dropped by this trucker dive...

I dropped by this trucker dive on a Saturday night around 9 pm when I happened to be going down I-55. Just take the Mississippi-State-Road-35 exit South, and go back behind the quonsett-hut dealer. The club itself looks like it used to be a honky-tonk, and it has the oddest arrangement of very sturdy, mid-shin-high grass planter-type dividers arranged to direct the cars into diagonal parking. I would have said they were holdovers from truck parking days, but they're too shallow for that. Maybe it used to be a drive-in ... anyway. So, it's cover plus 2-drink minimum, plus you have to tolerate the surly, disrespectful, inattentive staff, plus you're the only guy in the place, plus the women are not that stellar. They're all "trucker girls," in the sense that they've kept a small figure but not necessarily a good one; I find it hard to believe that their only income is from dancing, what with all the truck stops nearby, hint hint. I had an overpriced beer, paid for my second one, and left. If you're interested in the quality of women they have here, simply check out their website -- they're foolish enough to publicize how low the quality is on the internet for all to see! If you were a regular trucker on the Chicago to New Orleans run, you might have a friendship with one of these girls and she might be worth visiting; but otherwise, go to Jackson or Memphis. Vaiden is about 2 hours South of Memphis, by the way.
