Subpar visit for a normally very consistent club
First visit in a month or two and I was stunned at how quiet it was at lunch time on a Friday (today.) Seemed to be only 4 dancers on the shift although a 5th was starting as I was leaving about 1:30. Saw that seven were scheduled for the day shift today on the web site schedule so I guess some didn't show. Maybe the beautiful weather (especially for late July in DC) led them to make other plans. Still, if I remember right, the Friday day time schedule used to include 10-15 dancers. Maybe business is dying down, at least for the summer. I did seem like something was keeping the customers elsewhere too, a very sparse audience.
Still, it wasn't awful. As usual, a couple of the dancers were quite hot. I was very surprised to see one with all of her back covered with a large tatoo. The Camelot used to discourage that. Nice dancers costumes, sexy wait staff -- sexy costumes too. There are worse places to have lunch (food is pretty darn decent and not too expensive. And as far as I can tell, no place else in DC comes close. Certainly not the Mpire (what happenned to the 'e' in Empire?) a couple doors down which isn't even open for lunch.
As usual for years, dancers do three songs and get fully nude. You can go to the stage and put a dollar in the garter but no contact. A beer costs about $9 but there is no cover charge -- even at night.
