Don't go out of your way.
I went to this club a number of times (four?) while I lived in nearby Ann Arbor back between 2011-13. I have a lot of affection for downtown Ypsi, and would stop in sometimes at various times of day and week, but the experience was generally unremarkable. I'm not sure I was ever there at weekend prime hours, when it was said to be more lively. I'd just drop in when I was in town and had some time to kill.
The club is attached to an adult bookstore that has video booths, which adds a sleazier note that will either encourage or discourage you depending on what you're into. There's a single stage, with a small bar and tables. Dances happen in a sort of cheesy back room with a lot of red velvet.
The dancers are generally neither the most beautiful nor the best dancers: just okay. One lap dance I got from one of the better-looking younger women was really weird. Not really my type: a classic midwestern blonde, she told me that she had won some sort of regional lap dance competition. I entirely believe that, but I have my doubts about the criteria used at these contests. She did all of these super technical moves, clicking heels together and flipping acrobatically. It was totally sexless; not really an erotic experience for me at all. Ex-cheerleader, I'd guess, deeply neurotic. Another dancer — sorry I can't remember any of their names — was past her prime looks-wise, a short chubette with a visible caesarean scar. I felt sort of bad, and let her pressure me into a dance or two, but it actually ended up being pretty hot in the way a tryst in a motel with a 30-something sales representative might be hot. Or, like, making out with the single mom of a kid you coach on a soccer team. I found the experience arousing, but for the purposes of the review, I'm not sure it would be what the readers would want to have happen when they drop their nine dollars on a wristband.
