Wasted Trip

I've often wondered how a place like Ron's stays in business. Every time I go past the place the lot is almost empty. I think it opens around 2pm or 4pm or something like that, but even after it opens the place is dead. Maybe it gets hopping late at night or something, but from what I've seen the place must be struggling to stay afloat. But it's been there for years, so who knows.

Anyway, for some reason I keep checking to see if things have changed. And I keep realizing that no, it's still the same place. I stopped by in the afternoon, not sure it was open cuz the lot was empty, but I walked in and yeah, it was open. Nobody on stage, just a bouncer type guy sitting at the bar. And one girl talking to him in street clothes. So I sit in an empty club, no music and drink my coke.

And in a visit eerily similar to what I recall from my last visit last year, they kind of scramble to get their act together now that there's a customer in the house. Music comes on, and the dancer goes into the dressing room to get ready.
