Nice Play, but Not Very Inviting

I got to town for an extended business trip on Thursday and after I got out for some dinner, I decided to check out a couple of the local clubs. PT's was the first one I hit. On the outside it's very nice, and they had a smoker going just outside the front door cooking up some rib tips or something. Smelled really good, but I'd already eaten.

Inside the entrance was a little shabby, and not set up well. The desk where you pay your cover was just inside the second set of doors. If there were two people in line, the second person (in this case me) got hit by the door a lot from people coming and going. The guy in front of me seemed to be closing on a house or engaging in some sort of high finance. He was apparently looking for a specific kind of change that the doorman couldn't supply. Not the club's fault, but an annoyance.

I grabbed a table near the stage, but not too near. The club is larger than I expected based on another review, and very spacious. It's also physically in good shape: clean and well maintained. There are actually a number of stages. One near the front door, and another behind it. To the left was the rather small bar. Beyond the second stage was a raised area with seating that looked like it might be for private parties. It had a rope to close it off but there were a few people sitting up there. Later when I went to the restroom, I noticed that there were a couple more stages that weren't being used, and a lot of empty seating in that part of the club to the right of the front door.
