How To Ruin The Routine...

I made my quarterly drop-in Today. The parking lot was empty and all the Dancers were smoking at the front door. It tends to take all the mystery out of the process to walk past them all in the bright daylight and try to avoid or make eye contact with the whole gang at once. I went in with no questions asked and immediately realized how hard it is to get your eyes to adjust. I stumbled down to my normal chair on the wall and got my bearings. One girl on stage was starting her cycle and the others were all still outside.

They began to drift in, but I couldn't match my first impressions outside with the realities of the darkened room. It is all a lot to take in and process. I normally like to see the Dancers come out of the back and catch their eye if I see someone of interest. But Today, I got the one at a time introduction, sit down, wanna dance, sorry I can't see yet, I need to settle down first, (I still can't see) and the wander off to be replaced by the next one.

I realized that no one had caught my attention and this wasn't going to work Today. I strolled out and chalked it up as a good try, but no blue ribbons Today. Very low pressure, miss the old regulars.
