Average Everything. Cheap Beer.

Thought I'd give this club another review, as my last was from over a year ago. This time I went for the Thirsty Thursday special with a group of about 7 (male and female) friends. Everything about this place, except the physical size, is average. I caught myself thinking that all night, my impression of everything - average. If it was a letter grade in school it'd be a C. If it was a t-shirt size, it would be Extra Medium. Thursday evening brought in a big crowd, as usual, for the .25 cent beer. This comes with an $8 cover, but if you drink at all, you make up the $3 difference in no time. Here's where the average comes in - its all low point domestic beer. No liquor, no stronger bottles. The dancers range from 3-8, with most pretty 5ish 6ish. Again, very average. There is almost always at least one bar size pool table open, which I think is nice, especially on nights when patrons outnumber dancers 5 or 6 to 1. Interestingly, many of the girls seemed to dislike Thursday nights - something about the .25 beer makes a $20 LD seem pretty expensive - and at 3 point, no one's getting that much prettier as the night goes on, but the bathroom line is getting longer. Definitely not a bad experience though, Red Dog is always an enjoyable time, but these days I think there are better places for a nice atmosphere, better places for drinks and drink specials, and better places for LDs. That said, there is still no better place IMO to come with fairly big group of infrequent and/or first time friends.
