I made a recent afternoon visit...

I made a recent afternoon visit to the FC and it was dead! Only a few customers in the place and maybe 10-12 danders. This is often a formula for the dancers making deals but not this time! First, most of the dancers put on low energy, mundane stage performances and then left to return to their cigarettes and phones without circulating through the room to interact with the customers. When I inquired about VIP dances, I received remarkably high and non-negotiable price quotes from four different dancers. I don't know who is coaching these women to keep their prices high, even when the demand was low--- maybe they find an occasional whale who showers them with money? ---- but it appeared to me that none of the dancers were making any money this afternoon. In my opinion, the club deserved to be dead. Ironically, many of the dancers complained about how slow it has been but failed to recognize their role in driving customers away and generating poor reviews of the FC.

I took the unspent money in my pocket and moved across the street to Bogarts and had a great time, albeit at a dive bar. The great thing about the Detroit strip club scene is that if you strike out at one club, you can always go sample another club.
