I hadn't been to Pure Gold...

I hadn't been to Pure Gold in about a year, as I have become a regular at Capital Cabaret, which is a much nicer club. But I had some free time on a Saturday night and thought I'd give it another chance. Sadly, it has declined even more since last year. There were about 15 dancers working, and only 3 of them were at all attractive. Frankly, I was stunned at how unattractive and out-of-shape some of the dancers were. The good thing is that the dancers were only on stage for 2 songs each (and there were 2 at a time), so at least the worst looking girls weren't up there for too long. I did take advantage of the 2-for-1 ($40) lap dances with Leilani (a smoking hot, petite Hawaiian or Asian girl) and Violet (an attractive blonde). I do have to give credit to Leilani; her dances were among the best I've ever had, even though there is only one-way contact allowed. I highly recommend her if you visit the club.

I avoided the valet parking by parking across the street at the train station. Had to pay $25 to get in since it had been a little over a year since my last visit. I believe they renewed my membership so the cover won't be as high if I go again. Didn't bother to bring beer with me, since they charge so much to serve it. The waitresses were friendly though, and I wished that a few of them were dancers, as they were much more attractive than most of the actual dancers. In addition to the 2-for-1 lap dance specials, they had a "dollar dance" special where all of the dancers rotated around and danced at your table for about a minute for $1. I thought that was a good and unique idea, but I did have to fend off the unattractive girls during that time.

The club is definitely far less upscale than Capital Cabaret, and the selection of dancers is far worse. For comparison, I find about 80% of the dancers at Capital Cabaret attractive vs. 20% at Pure Gold. Combine that with the BYOB policy and no touching during the lap dances, and Pure Gold is clearly the lesser club. I doubt I'll be going back any time soon.
