It had been awhile since I had been to Ballpark for a night shift, but I was in the area and decided to give it a shot. I was specifically hoping Ashley would be there. Some have had issues with her, but my past experiences with her have always been positive. I've always found her to have a good head on her shoulders if you know what I mean, so I knew exactly what I wanted.

What followed was essentially the perfect Ballpark visit. In that I was in the place for no more than 15 minutes. I grabbed a spot at the bar and immediately saw Ashley over on the other end. She noticed me a minute later and came over. The conversation was as follows ... Her: "Hi, how are you?" Me: "Good, just got here." Her: "So ... Ready?" Me: "Yes." I do appreciate it when they keep it simple. Three songs later, I was back on the road.

A couple weeks later I stopped by again on a Wednesday night, hoping for a repeat performance. I had the other kind of Ballpark visit, the one where I was in the place for no more than 15 seconds. Walked in, looked at the board, didn't see Ashley or anybody else who fits my tastes, looked around just to make sure I wasn't missing anything, and walked out. You win some, you lose some.
