I've reviewed this club before, and I'm pleased to report that things there are on their way up. I had a really great Saturday night at Savannah's. Probably about 10 dancers, about 7+ of whom were stone cold foxes. Something is going right at this club, and at this point, it is one of the only two worth considering in central Pennsylvania (Al's Diamond Cabaret in Reading is the other).
So, some more detail. I went to Savannah's recently on Saturday, July 4. I actually didn't expect much, since it was a family holiday, and I figured they would cut back their staff to compensate. Not so. Parking is easy—there's ample space around the club. A LARGE bouncer stands outside the door, so you can be confident that no one is going to break into your car. Inside, the main room has the shape of a large barn, but it's upscale. Attractively furnished, you feel like you're entering into a well established space, and not a squalid back-alley peep show. Two bars—one in the center, one towards the back right as you enter—plus an ample wait-staff ensure that it will always be easy enough to get a drink. And Jesus God, the bartenders are SMOKIN' HOT—most sexier than the average dancer! Stage configuration is a little off, as I've written before. The central bar space vis-a-vis the stage is awkward, and consequently the chair-space/stage ratio is just not quite high enough for those of us who like the dollar parade. Still, though, beautiful girls, quite a few of whom are exceptionally skilled pole dancers. Each one dances two songs—the first in lingerie, the second topless. They could have had a little more finesse dancing for customers seated at the stage, though—it almost seems like this rarely happens. Still, though, easy on the eyes!
Private dances can be a little hard to figure out. The system is not obvious, the DJ's instructions (to the extent they're provided) aren't easy to hear, and the girls just aren't out there on the floor to explain things to you—they're kind of hard to find, in fact. I for one hate asking bartenders and waitresses how I go about getting a private dance, what the rates are, and what the terms are—it just makes me feel like I look desperate when I don't want to feel like I look desperate. Anyway, it's $20 per song for a simple lap dance in a fairly public room without much space per chair; girls are topless, and there's no touching, but adequate grinding. For $150, you get 30 minutes in a more private space with more room to move around, the girls are apparently all nude, and you get to touch. So you can do 8 songs (about 30 minutes) for $160 in the lap dance room, or 30 minutes for $150 in the VIP room. You do the math, depending on how much you need and can afford.
