Wild Cherry was a bit off...

Wild Cherry was a bit off the beaten path from Huntsville but easy enough to find from the main road. The exterior of the building is run down and the parking lot in need of repair, which does not lend itself well to first impressions. However, on the inside Wild Cherry is a diamond in the rough, with a well-lit space and effective layout of furniture around the main stage and second floor dance/champagne area.

Cover was $5 and dances did not start until about 8pm, however there was ESPN being shown one of the large projectors in the main room as well as TV behind the bar where I had stationed myself. Bottled beer was $4. The kitchen came highly recommended (although I try to stay away from strip club food, generally speaking) and was running a special on pork chops for $10. When I did finally break down later in the evening it was an outstanding meal for the value, to the point where had Wild Cherry been more convenient to get to from my (or any) hotel it could easily be a great place to walk to for a cheap dinner multiple evenings.

When the floor show did begin the dancers seemed to be standard fare for the area; medium height, thin and mostly white (albeit with several tattoos), which minus the tattoos fits my preferred demographic well. Sets were short and tips from the few other customers not forthcoming, so any dollars on stage went a long way (although I prefer not to sit in the front row). Off stage dancers were very friendly, taking time to chat a customer up before going into a confusing set of dance and champagne room options.
