Diva's is a relatively new strip...

Diva's is a relatively new strip club in Salem which used to be a regular bar & grill. It's easy to find just off the Salem Parkway. Inside they did a nice job remodeling, though they went a little overboard with the black lights and the neon patterned carpet. A large bar is along one wall, video poker along another, and the main stage at one end of the building. I think there may have been a smaller stage at the other end, but my eyes hadn't adjusted to the dark room (or maybe the fluorescent carpet was just too distracting to notice). To the right of the stage is the DJ booth, and next to that is a row of lap dance booths along the wall. The dance booths are elevated a couple steps above the main floor, and each booth has a curtain that hangs down but stops about 3 feet above the floor. This combination allows anyone seated at the stage or the nearby tables to see right into the booths at your crotch level. Anything the dancer is doing in or near your lap is visible to the audience, so there's not much privacy. The few girls on shift this afternoon were all white, mostly thin or athletic, and appeared to be between 20-30. I'd rate most of them in the 5-7 range. Action at the stage included some nice mini-laps and some boobs in face, but nothing excessive. At one point two girls got on stage and did a bit of light-lesbo interactions, but it was clearly faked (unlike similar interactions at Casa Diablo where I've seen tongue penetration). I ended up getting a couple dances from one of these two girls. Dances were $20 each, songs were not cut short. Unfortunately the lap dance action was no better than the stage performance, so mileage was pretty average. But my main complaint about the place was the bartender frequently asking if I wanted another drink (even though my glass was still half full) and any time a dancer was within 5 feet of me the bartender walked up to ask if I wanted to buy the lady a shot. She even did this when I was at the stage and the dancer was on the rack in front of me, the bartender walked up and asked if I wanted to buy the dancer a shot. I declined, and was pretty annoyed by it. Overall, it's a decent place and I like it better than Stars in Salem, but it still doesn't compare to any of my favorite clubs in Portland. I'll give it another chance the next time I happen to be in Salem, and hopefully I'll get to check out the night shift to see if the dancer quality is better.
