To start off, I am a dancer that came to Austin to visit, and my boyfriend and I decided to check out the local clubs.

We went to eat next door at the BBQ place (which is amazing, BTW) and decided to just walk over to the Yellow Rose at about 8:30-9PM. Now, I had done a little research on the Austin clubs and had found some pretty disturbing content. Basically the club owner or manager has his own blog type website where he posts pictures of drunk dancers and customers. This already had me turned off a bit, but since it was right next door and the outside looked half way decent, we decided to try it anyways.

Upon walking in, we were met with a $15 cover (THIS PAGE SAYS $10....that is not the case, we were told it was free before 5, then 15 anytime after that). The waitresses were all lined up right when you walk in and one of them will want to walk you to your "assigned" table. I asked the waitress specifically what they had on draft, and was told they only had bottles. So we order our $7 bud and start taking in the scenery. Not 10 minutes later I notice the gentlemen behind me sitting with a draft beer, and another girl carrying a pitcher to a different table. I can only assume that the back bar that our waitress was using didn't have draft beer, and the main bar did, and that she was too lazy to walk over to main the main bar for us.
