Well, I already wrote a very long review of the Upper Brass but as I clicked submit it seems tuscl crashed and the review was lost. So this will be more concise.

The upper floor is a separate club from downstairs. It is $20 to enter the "upper brass". However, when the bouncers open the doors and direct you upstairs you can also easily chose not to go up them and instead go to the left into the "brass rail" which is the lower level club with no cover. One important point is that you cannot take drinks up or down the stairs from one club to the other. Even though you dont go outside at all you must still finish your drink first. Found this out the hard way.

Upstairs starts out nice and empty with plenty of seating. However as the night goes on it fills up fast. By 1130/midnight the place was packed. There was nowhere to sit and standing room was getting tight.
