Maybe I caught Heartbeats on an exceptional day, but I was impressed with the selection of talent: probably 10 dancers working by 9PM and with one exception, all were attractive slender women in good physical shape. This was a welcome contrast to Hots, the other Battle Creek club, that featured only 5 dancers that same evening of which only one was physically attractive. The dancers at Heartbeats perform two or three song sets on a low raised stage. They are topless by the second song. Overall, a very pleasant club with decent drink prices, good music at a reasonable volume for talking and generally attractive dancers.

On a less positive note, I tipped and complimented several dancers on stage but no one stopped by to chat or to inquire about private dances. Eventually I tipped a few dancers and asked them if they were available for a private dance. To my surprise, they also did not stop by after their stage sets. Eventually an attractive blonde, Cali, stopped by to chat and to offer a private dance. The three private dance areas of this club are comfortable but heavily monitored with cameras so extras are not available, but Cali still provided an enjoyable lap dance. I'm not sure what accounts for the lack of engagement by most of the dancers--- the club was not especially busy. Nevertheless, the talent was quite good and Heartbeats is certainly worth a visit if you live or travel in SW Michigan.
