A nice club, with an excellent interior. Spacious but not overly large. The lighting inside was dark, really dark, especially coming in from the midday sun. I stopped in about 1:30 PM on a Saturday. I got a bottle of water ($4.50, no idea why they add the fifty cents, as it just means you short the waitresses half their tip) and sat in to enjoy the scenery.

Now I've been to Curves before, mostly at night, and they have some excellent dancers, even early afternoons on weekdays, but this particular Saturday, I don't know if it was the weather, the time or year or day, but the talent level was far below par. There were seven dancers, none over a 6, 7 if I'm being generous, and most seemed to stick with regulars. I tipped two during their stage performances, a curvy Hispanic and a skinny white girl with large naturals, each two times but only the white girl ended up coming around just as I was getting ready to leave.

I was approached by a few other dancers but none made a great sales pitch and even fewer seemed worth risking a dance on. The club manager came around and asked how I was doing, and as it wasn't very crowded, I appreciate his taking the time. I lied and said everything was fine, but in reality, the place could use some more discriminating hiring practices. Day shift in Tucson, I wasn't expecting a lot, but Curves rose below my expectations that day. I checked out around 3:30 PM, with only two new, equally unimpressive dancers added to the mix.
