As a first time visitor to...

As a first time visitor to Montreal decided to check out the famous strip clubs . Circumstances dictated visits through the day only so I was a bit pessimistic after lame dances at Le bar salon Solid Gold and the Downtowner. I made two visits on two consecutive afternoons to Chez Paree.

On entry a well dressed bouncer has a quick chat, asks for $5 and offers you a table or seat at the bar. Doesn't make a lot of difference. Not a huge stage but reasonable sized club. Drinks were expensive and the bartender also expected tips. $12 for a Scotch or two first visit and $8 for on special beers second visit.

On arrival there was a dancer on stage and about 4 others either sitting or wandering. All much more attractive than the previous two clubs. All 7's or 8's. The dancer on stage went topless first dance, had a break second dance then nude third dance. Odd little setup. Tips were accepted but not pushed.
