Stopped by twice actually to check...
Stopped by twice actually to check out the club since it's change over from Columbus Gold to Scores, and it has definitely changed. In some ways for the better, but in some ways, in my opinion, not so. It looks completely different inside. Gone is the deep red decor, and large center stage. The stage is now on the far wall, and the color code is a warm blue, with wave effects on some of the walls. There are nice large screen TV's strategically placed. The bar is in the same location, also with added big screens. Overall, it's pretty nice, and he new management and bouncers seemed pretty friendly as well.
The overall experience and vibe, on the other hand is decidedly different, and in my opinion, and not for the better. It's hard to put a finger on it, To use a restaurant analogy. Columbus Gold was the family owned restaurant where you could stop in, relax a bit, have a drink, meet someone and have a genuine and unrushed conversation that led to more unrushed fun in the dance or VIP rooms. It had become my Go-To club. Scores, on the other hand has become McDonald's. Fast food, less choice and quality and worst of all, shallow and rushed experiences. So now I'm not so sure, maybe it's just the way I hit it. I may give it another try down the road, but will definitely consider other options. Anyway, that's my two cents from my last two visits there. Perhaps your experience will be different..
