While in the city of brotherly love, I thought I would give the purple orchid a try.

Walked in around 740 on a Tuesday afternoon and was greeted warmly by the friendly, mature, bartender Jennifer. Ordered a beer and was served quickly.

Came here because the reviews said it was non smoking but the owner/manager/guy in shorts sitting behind the counter as you walk in was smoking. Inside. Just feet from the bar. There are plenty of good clubs that have smoking in Philly but only the rare ones like Oasis or Risqué (NE only) are good and smoke free. Strike one for purple orchid.

Strike 2 was the selection of dancers. No way to say it nicely. ..most were fat. All woc except one Asian. No way do I want to see big fat women dancing.

Only one, her name was Juicy, had a killer body. And the Asian too. Both grabbed customers for lap dances leaving me with the obese remainders.
