I realized that I have visited all of the Rhode Island clubs except for its two newest ones and its oldest one, Mickey’s Valley View. Because the reviews of all three clubs on various sites have been mixed, I decided to try Mickey’s and I was not disappointed. I went on a recent weekend afternoon into a building that truly does look like a VFW post from the outside. The patrons’ entrance is less clearly marked than a veterans’ posts’ would be! It seemed more like a non-name gin mill. Upon entering, it STILL looked like a VFW post on the inside. A prominent bar and a pool table were its main features. Nothing glitzy, but that’s OK.

There were four dancers, a pretty bartender, and seven other guys inside when I entered. Good odds, I thought, so long as the girls did not just latch onto “regular” patrons. Three of the girls were twenty-ish, and the other probably in her thirties, and none was in bad shape. So I sat at the bar and ordered a drink. Sure enough, within my first ten minutes two ladies approached me for dollar tips into their thongs. One pulled hers aside, to display all of her beautiful features a foot from my face. After a song or two, one of the dancers asked about my interest in private dances. These take place in some spacious three-walled booths. The dividing walls don’t reach the ceiling and the “door” actually is a dark semi-transparent curtain. That’s a little less private surroundings than at Cheater’s but it is more private than the regular dance areas at CL and FL. Dances cost $20 per ten minutes, I think; I’m not sure, because my brain was no longer leading the action. You buy tokens from the bartender. So I bought a couple and away we went. My $40 investment led to lots of mutual fun and was well worth a tip. I will return, although I don’t remember the dancer’s name. I’d recommend.
