I am new to Cedar Rapids, and wanted to check out a local strip club. Decided to try the Lumberyard II. Got there on a Friday after work around 5:30. The club has a big parking lot, located in kind of a remote area. My first surprise was I didn't have to pay a cover. The place just opened at 5:00, and if you get there within a half hour of opening, free admission. Otherwise I believe the cover was $10. Only 3 customers in the place and no one dancing. Thought I would just go get a beer, which brings me to my second surprise. The place is byob. Finally saw a very average dancer come out. She danced a 3 song set, then the next dancer came out, was also very average, so I left. My visit was not good, but will be willing to give it one more try. Next time I will try later in the night, and bring my own beer. As I was leaving I asked the girl at the door when it gets busy. She said to come back between 9-10.
