Yecchhh. After a strangely dead night at the Satin Doll, I decided to try out the competition around the corner. This place’s reviews have been improving lately, though I can’t say I agree with them.
As Cheescake says, the bar’s built in a typical city layout with the stage in the middle the club, between the front bar and the elevated bar in the back. Dances are $25 each. You spend $5 on tix at the back bar, and $20 goes to the dancer. It’s a little confusing, and I’m guessing it ensures that the bar gets a percentage on each dance. Some of the stage dancers were pretty entertaining, though most seemed to return to individual customers rather than circulating around the bars.
I began with a voluptuous brunette named Angelica who offered a pretty good, leg-to-the-pants grind. The problem was that she kept complaining about falling out of her bikini top. Um, lady, isn’t that the POINT of a strip club? My big mistake was choosing Nadia for my second dance. She’s a petite brunette with a Portuguese tattoo on her lower back. She demanded I pay for my dances up front, more if I wanted to touch. I should’ve just walked right then. Her mood was indifferent, and her dances were overly rough and all about fast booty shaking rather than the slow turn-on.
