Platinum Plus is now Platinum Dolls....

Platinum Plus is now Platinum Dolls. They have been advertising their 11-7 happy hour and new VIP suites so I decided to leave work a bit early to check it out.

Cover for happy hour was $3. Given what I found inside, even $3 is a bit steep. 4:30 on Wednesday and the club was dead. There were 3-4 dancers, all engaged in deep conversation with other customers. I waited around for 20 minutes, no one approached the stage.

As I was being left alone, I decided to wander a bit and check out the renovations. The VIP rooms are definitely posh - expensive leather couches, big screen TVs, very nice decor. One room contained a full-sized hot tub. The old couch dance area is much smaller, half of it being taken by the new VIP suites. After my self-guided tour, there was still nothing happening on stage and all the dancers seemed to be occupied, so I left.
