Great improvement over the Candy Store...
Great improvement over the Candy Store days. Last time I visited the club was when it had just been taken over by new management calling itself the Road House. But that was a couple of years ago and it still looked like the Candy Store dump. But some money was invested in the interior, and now the bar is fun.
Place has a really unique vibe for such a small space. It's intentionally decorated with lots of tacky accents, including crayons and paper at each table. But it works - and is a nice change to the standard strobe light, black light, loud thumping music that has been prevalent at clubs for 30 years. Good lighting, drapes over private rooms, and pretty girls make up for the lack of alcohol. But $3 gets you anything else including juice, soda, and near beer.
The night I visited on Saturday, the place had 6 girls working for about 10 customers. Each girl did a two song rotation and then mingled on the floor for a tip or just conversation. I believe private dances are 1 for $30 and 2 for $40 and 3 for $50. But unfortunately this night I did not participate. Actually I was just waiting to see all the girls on stage before I made a choice. But then the DJ spoke up that they would be closing in 10 minutes. It was 11:45pm - I was surprised.
