A few friends and I drove down to Cafe Risque from Gainesville on a weeknight recently. For those of you who know Gainesville history there is a connection between this club and the restaurant 'Skeeters' that used to be in Gainesville (popular for late night breakfasts after drinking). Supposedly the breakfast menu had some items from there on it (the 'asher') so we wanted to try out the 'food' (thats our story anyway).

We arrived at the club around 1am and it was moderately full with customers. A couple locals and some truckers. We stayed about two hours. The girls were not out all at the same time but it seemed like about 5 or 6 were working. The place is VERY bright which can be good and bad - it definitely felt more like a restaurant than a strip club. The girls dance on a stage that has a single row of stools in front of it. The wall behind the girls is a mirror. There were generally two girls dancing on the stage at time and they are completely nude. Some of the girls are very attractive while others were a bit on the skanky side. Most were natural (breast wise). I would imagine they get a number of girls from the University of Florida working there.

We sat at the stage for a bit and gave the girls dancing some tips then sat down away from the stage and ordered breakfast. While it wasn't nearly as good as the original skeeters breakfast it was surprisingly good (plus they give discounts to locals). They stop dancing at 3am and have a 'naked waitress' come out instead so I would recommend getting there earlier.
