Not much choice in the daytime...

Not much choice in the daytime hours for a visit to Greenville these days so I dropped by GII recently. As one can tell from the club picture, definitely a dive bar, among the worst I've visited. At least the women are friendly and the beer prices decent. This particular day there were a grand total of 2 dancers working, and 4 guys plus me when I walked in. Eventually one of the dancers made it over to me and was actually a pretty decent conversationalist. We discussed the closing of PP among other things and seemed we have similar views on certain things. I would have thought some of the PP dancers would have come to work here, but apparently that is not the case. The dancer I talked to wasn't bad, but she was older. The other dancer was a younger brunette who looked pretty good but was tied up with another dude the entire time I was there. I can kind of see why some clubs play the music louder. This club's music isn't loud at all but when a guy goes to tip a dancer onstage, everyone can actually hear the conversation! I found that a little odd and uncomfortable. Actually everyone can hear any conversation in the building if you pay attention. I don't know if that applies to the private rooms as no one went there during my visit but that could really prove to be embarrassing!

Anyway, a decent visit to a dive club. I didn't go for a private dance this particular day but it didn't appear to me that much had changed in this club since the PP fiasco. And unless you are in town on a Friday, Godiva's is you only choice for daytime fun.
