After a couple of visits when it first opened, I had taken Scores off my destination list for a variety of reasons. The talent was weak, the prices hefty, and the general attitude of the club and it's staff wasn't overly friendly or welcoming. I just felt there were better options for my money right down the street at Coliseum and Players.
I wandered back in there recently on a lark, and I have to say there is actually a bit of a transition occuring. They have a new day shift manager who comes from Coliseum, and she has brought some of her former staff with her, along with a much more hospitable vibe and attitude. The old Scores had a bit of that "you should feel lucky to be here" attitude, the new Scores has much more of a "We're damned happy to have you here" feel. Greeted warmly by the bouncer and the manager when I came in, very friendly bartender, and a couple of efficient and cute waitresses. Hell, the manager even bought me a drink during both of my recent visits.
Talent wise, I would say it's better, but still has a ways to go. There were a couple of cuties there, and a couple of not so much. I did notice a couple of new ones, both in the 7 range on my second recent visit, so I'm inclined to think they are moving up in that area. And yes, there is a lot of fun to be had in the VIP.
