I returned to Tattletale's in the Poconos to see another feature entertainer. They seem to have a lot of them come through this club along with their sister club more towards the Philadelphia area. I've seen Gina Lynn, Teagan Presley, Kenna James and Tori Black. All were OK with Teagan probably coming out on top. She interacted with the crowd, had a few shots or drinks at the bar and was generally more fun. This time, I went to see Marey Carey. I pull in the parking lot and it's a mess. Cars everywhere, some not even parked in the direction as the others, and that took up at least two parking spaces. Anyway, not that big a deal but when parking's at a premium you would hope the club would maybe expand or at least paint lines to direct people how and where to park.
Then the shocker at the door. It was a $20 cover. Normally for feature dancers, at least the ones I've seen, the cover is $10. The couple before me at the door walked out when they heard that cover and also that they'd have to pay for drinks. Truthfully, if I'm paying $20 I'm almost certainly going to a BYOB joint. I still paid just to see her, and it was pretty disappointing. She is fairly attractive and all that, but there was little interaction, she didn't come to the back stage like some of the other features had done. I can see not doing that when there aren't enough patrons at the main bar, but there were enough in both stage area for at least a quick jaunt up there. How can I describe her show? The best word is 'meh'. Average at best. She ended her three song set by spraying a Jergens type of lotion on herself to simulate the effect of you know what. Funny thing is that it was nearly empty and she was shaking the hell out of it just to get a few drops. She then walked around the stage and patrons put the money on the lotion. She didn't have much interaction with anyone and basically you'd slap the money where the lotion was and that was that. I wouldn't recommend seeing her at the cover charge they requested, but to each his own. If they keep charging that amount for future feature dancers, I'd have to consider if I really wanted to see that feature. A few drinks add up to a fair chunk of changes on top of the cover and tips.
Other than that, the layout is the same. Nothing changed from that standpoint, and I covered the layout in my earlier review of the club. In general I've found the dancers not to be pushy at all. There was one last night that came up to me as soon as I walked in and went to the bar. She asked the usual, where I was from, was I there alone and would I like a dance. When I said no and that I had just walked in and was trying to get a beer, she still asked if I had a dollar for her. I said no, maybe later and sure enough she came up later and asked again. I said no again and she seemed perturbed. It's one of those situations where I'm not vague attracted to her and don't want to see her on stage or dancing for me. The rest of the dancers were great, I got a few lap dances from them but no VIP action. I don't know what it is about some dancers that think you have to give them money regardless of what they do.
