I've been to Buck Rubs before,...

I've been to Buck Rubs before, but never so early in the evening as I did this night. The club opens at 6:00 on Wednesdays and I arrived around 7:00. The parking lot was so empty that I left my car running while I walked to the door to check the hours.

Once inside, I paid the Wednesday $5 cover to the manager/bartender woman. She scanned my driver's license, which is always a little disconcerting. I went through the door and she followed me to go behind the bar. As it's BYOB, I picked up a bottle of water and got some ones.

I headed to the stage area - the stage is a narrow rectangle that juts from the wall on the right side. There were only two other patrons besides me when I arrived, and maybe 2-3 others eventually arrived before I left. There were four dancers listed on the board and I only saw four dance on stage. The girls do two-song sets, and since the rotation was so thin, they'd play a song between the girls with nobody on the stage. I understand why they had to do that, but without anything to look at, nobody to talk to, and nothing to drink but water (at least in my case) it was boring between dancers.
