Summary: Expensive, plush, little privacy, and some of the best Pole Dancing I have ever seen! Back in February, I was in town for work and needed to unwind. TUSCL informed me that Gossip was in Melville, not far away. So I paid a visit.

First, you have to check your coat, in addition to the entry fee. But the effort has been made to make this into a club that could compete visually with the best of Las Vegas or NYC. A separate, glassed-in room is available for anyone who would like a high-end steak dinner, while still being able to be entertained. A long bar stood on the far side, worked by three very attractive bartenders who also really know their stuff. The center area is sunk down about three steps with a "T" shaped stage. There are two poles, one a the center of the cross of the "T", and the other at the foot of the long portion. Everything is leather (or leather-like), clean, and only semi-dim.

I watched a number of dancers, most in being 7's or 8's, work the stage. Most of them were decent on the pole(s), but nothing to rave about. Is it me, or does it seem that a lot of girls now have a routine down and perform it without regard to the melody or beat? It used to be that girls would have different dances for different types/rhythms of music. I am not seeing that much anymore. Which is why Lulu and Christine stood out so much.
