Check out Criket. Sometimes you go to lots of clubs to increase your chances of having a good time. Every club has a half-life, as long as you're having a good time keep going until it gets lame or you get bored. I keep singing the praises of this place but read mixed reviews from others. I think it depends on your expectations. You be the judge and PM me if you like this place.

Criket is safe and easy to get to off Michigan avenue. It's not super noticeable from the street, in other words it doesn't stick out like a sore thumb. There are many businesses close-by. You enter from the back and parking is secure and free. There's no troll in the bathroom. Separately ventilated area for smokers behind a closed door. For non-smokers this is extraordinary considerate. The mens room is always clean.

This place is small. Liz, behind the bar, makes great drinks. She's been there for years and she's beautiful. One of the consistent aspects of Criket is Liz. Always friendly, courteous, able to carry a conversation and does her job well. The manager is always visible and quietly does his job. They grill a great burger. I've tried the other items on the menu but come back to the burger. So here is the summary: nice place that's safe and accessible, staff takes care of business and management maintains the property, and if you're going to eat, go simple. They grill great burgers. If you want something else, go somewhere else.
