I really wanted to like this...
I really wanted to like this place. They have some hot dancers, and they have a cool, old school vibe going on. But, for me, there is just something off-kilter. Too many hipsters....too many out-of-towners...not enough action.
The place is a little hard to spot, but it is in the alley next to voodoo donuts...it's a bit conspicuous to enter the place when there are a bunch of munchkins in line for donuts. The bouncer checked my ID at the door and required a cover - I don't remember the amount. He did not take a card for the cover, but there is an ATM out front. He warned me absolutely no cameras (or phone cameras) were allowed.
The place is basically a gutted out old building and does not have the vibe of a comfortable club, more an industrial modern dance club. There are two stages, one on the left of the bar, and then one in the far back. There are booths on the wall and a stage above the booths. There are tables in between the stages and the booths. In between sets, a duo or trio of dancers will come out above the booths and dance for tips right above the booth tables. Kind of interesting at first, and a good way to eye the goods before deciding on who to really lay your money on I suppose.
